Roger Dunnick, EdD, Principal
Welcome to Nelson Middle School, home of the Mustangs! Here at NMS we believe that students are our greatest asset and our reason for being here. It is our intent to provide a high level of quality instruction and educational activities to encourage the academic growth of our students. Furthermore, we believe that supports should be in place for all students to reach their full academic potential.
Therefore, Nelson Middle has a wide array of services that provide both enriching learning opportunities as well as extra assistance to those who may be in need. In addition, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff. Parents are welcome to take part in their child’s education and can do so through a
variety of means. Finally, we consider it an honor and privilege to serve the Nelson County community in this capacity. If you have any questions or concerns or would like to join us in some way, please feel free to contact us. We are certain that the 2019-20 school year will be the best experience for our students.
